Brittany Walters Kirby is a science teacher who joins Motogo after 15 years of teaching high school science, math, and an assortment of other courses and programs. She is passionate about facilitating authentic learning experiences, helping students be their best selves, and building community with students and the broader community.
Originally from the Cleveland area, Brittany earned a Chemistry degree at St. Francis University (PA) and a Masters from Fordham University. She began her teaching career at DreamYard Prep, a NYC public school in The Bronx, where she saw the impact of engaging students in learning that is hands-on and allows students to learn about themselves and explore their passion.
In 2013, Brittany returned to Cleveland and has spent the last 11 years teaching at Saint Martin de Porres High School, where she first met Molly and Brian. She has taught a variety of math and science classes, coached teachers, and developed programming and looks forward to learning along with the students and using her classroom skills, experience and teacher training to support the growth of Motogo.
Outside of the classroom or garage, you can find Brittany spending time outside with her husband and 3 children, connecting with friends, running and cycling, or taking it slow at home.
