<image:caption>Member agency of the United Agencies Insurance Group, CPCU. Real estate development at Belden Street Partners. Motorcycle parts, painting, customizing, and restoration at Chelsea Motorworks. A lifelong Clevelander, I have always gravitated to the city; the hustle, bustle and grittiness of it. Even though my life and career has led me to college and into the family insurance agency business I never let my basic industrial arts education from the Parma school system go to waste. My past has included many years enjoying a classic car hobby restoring British sports cars and the many challenges such a task entails. I met Skidmark at the very first benefit in 2019 and dove head first into the wonderful motorcycle community that it is. I have learned that there are very few similarities between cars and motorcycles but one critical commonality is critical thinking and problem solving, from my understanding the central focus of the Motogo teaching philosophy. My past has also included board positions with Playhouse Square Partners, Young Friends of the Art Museum, President of the Cleveland Jaycees Foundation (now defunct), and treasurer and finance chair of Plexus LGBT chamber of commerce.</image:caption>

<image:title>Meet the Motogo Team - Greg Boyd - Head Coach (he/him)</image:title>
<image:caption>Gregory Lee Boyd has been with Motogo since almost the very beginning. He was the first coach brought on, due to his experience riding and being around motorcycles from a young age, through his time as an avid motorcyclist and flat track racer. He has assisted in building and designing many race bikes alongside his friend Duane Worden (Worden’s Motorcycle Shop - Canal Fulton, OH) and father Jerry Boyd. Greg is a natural coach. His ease and patience working with students is acclaimed by principals and school administration. He facilitates understanding with a calm demeanor and strives to give the students a unique and memorable shop class experience with knowledge and skills they can use for life. When Greg isn’t working on or riding motorcycles (his favorite makes are Triumph and Honda), you can bet he is spending time with his dog, Ozzy, while enjoying pizza from one of his favorite pizza joints (Don Brands, Kraus’ Navarre , Pizzeria Dilauro, Vero and Il Rione) or a hot dog from Tj Dillons! <image:title>Meet the Motogo Team - Andrea Ehasz - Donor Management & Marketing Director (she/her)</image:title>
<image:caption>Andrea brings a background in donor engagement, stewardship and community building across higher education and nonprofit organizations. Most recently at Case Western Reserve University’s Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, she led alumni and donor engagement strategies that strengthened long-term relationships, increased participation and connected supporters more deeply to mission-driven impact. Her work has included building multi-year engagement plans, stewarding donors and volunteers, managing communications and events, and collaborating closely with leadership, boards and community partners. She takes pride in building thoughtful structure within growing programs, while ensuring relationships remain personal and values-centered. At Motogo, Andrea is excited to support the fundraising and marketing side of the organization by helping donors feel seen, appreciated and connected to the powerful work happening in the shop and classrooms. Andrea is energized by bringing people together around bold ideas and meaningful impact, and she is thrilled to help grow Motogo’s community of supporters so more students can discover what they are capable of building, on motorcycles and beyond. Outside of work, Andrea loves making memories with her family, getting lost in a good book, setting alarms for early-morning Formula 1 qualifying sessions and experimenting in her shade garden in an ongoing effort to find anything — even so-called deer-resistant plants — that the deer won’t eat. <image:title>Meet the Motogo Team - Michaela Jackson-Smith - Social Worker (she/her)</image:title>
<image:caption>Michaela is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) who is passionate about working with youth, families, and communities to enhance their well-being. Originally from Oberlin, OH, she moved back to the Cleveland area in 2021 for graduate school after attending Wellesley College and then living in the DC area for 5 years. She is thrilled to fuse many of her passions—coaching (formerly volleyball, now motorcycles), sensory-based activity, and experiential learning—through her work at Motogo. Prior to pivoting to social work, Michaela was a management consultant working with the Military Health System. Now, instead of teaching military officials to cooperate with each other, she helps youth and families learn to emotionally regulate and problem solve. Outside of Motogo, she does this in her role as a clinical therapist for youth in intensive residential treatment. She also has particular interest and expertise in the impacts of trauma on neurodevelopment, and she provides community training on trauma-informed practice. Outside of work, you can find Michaela playing volleyball, riding horses, spending time in nature, or doing the exact opposite: laying on the couch watching tv shows that make her laugh, cry, or both. <image:caption>Brandon Jackson is a seasoned professional who dedicated over 30 years of his career to Channel 5, contributing his expertise across various roles within the art, engineering, and technical departments. Now retired, Brandon's passion for motorcycles has been a constant companion for the past three decades, where he's not only ridden and raced but also delved into motorcycle design and maintenance, seeing them as the perfect blend of art and technology. Originally from Shaker and now a resident of Cleveland Heights, Brandon holds a degree in communications and film from Ohio State University. In his leisure time, he's an avid cyclist and enjoys the thrill of ultimate frisbee. With an unwavering commitment to knowledge sharing, Brandon eagerly anticipates passing on his wealth of experience to our students, ensuring that his expertise finds a new home in their eager minds. <image:caption>Brittany Walters Kirby is a science teacher who joins Motogo after 15 years of teaching high school science, math, and an assortment of other courses and programs. She is passionate about facilitating authentic learning experiences, helping students be their best selves, and building community with students and the broader community. Originally from the Cleveland area, Brittany earned a Chemistry degree at St. Francis University (PA) and a Masters from Fordham University. She began her teaching career at DreamYard Prep, a NYC public school in The Bronx, where she saw the impact of engaging students in learning that is hands-on and allows students to learn about themselves and explore their passion. In 2013, Brittany returned to Cleveland and has spent the last 11 years teaching at Saint Martin de Porres High School, where she first met Molly and Brian. She has taught a variety of math and science classes, coached teachers, and developed programming and looks forward to learning along with the students and using her classroom skills, experience and teacher training to support the growth of Motogo. Outside of the classroom or garage, you can find Brittany spending time outside with her husband and 3 children, connecting with friends, running and cycling, or taking it slow at home. <image:title>Meet the Motogo Team - Steve Knoble - Coach (he/him)</image:title>
<image:caption>Steve Knoble is a lifelong Northeast Ohio resident whose journey through education and career has been a testament to his hands-on approach to life. His early years were shaped by shop class and trade schools, culminating in a strong foundation of technical expertise. Following high school, he honed his skills at Lorain County Joint Vocational School, specializing in drafting and later as a machinist, then went on to pursue his passion for precision at the Akron Machining Institute. Throughout his career, he served as a millwright and technician within the steel industry, with notable stints at SuperTrapp in Research and Development and eventually at NASA's Glenn Research Center. Not content with just one venture, he embarked on a side business, Knoble Moto, inspired by Motogo, but tailored to empower adults to repair and maintain their own motorcycles. Outside of his professional pursuits, Steve and his wife find solace in camping expeditions with their faithful canine companion, all while sharing a love for motorcycles and bicycles. Their adventurous spirit and affinity for all things two-wheeled make for a life that's always in motion. You can reach Coach Steve at steve@motogocleveland.com</image:caption>

<image:title>Meet the Motogo Team - Brian Schaffran - Head Coach (he/him)</image:title>
<image:caption>Brian Schaffran - Head Coach (he/him) In the 1990’s after leaving Ohio University 2 years shy of graduation, Brian Schaffran drove cross country in an VW bus that broke down...a lot. A kind mechanic in Los Angeles took pity on the young man and began to lend him tools to fix it himself. He dreamed that one day he could pay this kindness forward and have his own place where people could come in and use tools and space he’d provide for them to fix up their own ride. The dream sat on hold when Brian came home to Cleveland and finished an education degree from Cleveland State University. He began a decade-long career as a high school history and math teacher, working first at Cleveland School of the Arts and later Saint Martin de Porres High School. In 2013 Brian took a leap of faith and quit his full time teaching job to revisit the dream and a year later, opened Skidmark Garage, a Community DIY Motorcycle Garage. This safe place for people from diverse backgrounds to work side by side on motorcycles, or “whatever is broken,'' became a staple in the Cleveland Makers Movement. Skidmark also inspired a short lived reality show hosted by Brian on the Esquire Network called Wrench Against The Machine. Out of the success Skidmark Garage found in building an inclusive community, Brain and wife Molly Vaughan knew it was time to provide the same opportunity to students and founded Motogo. Brain has been Motogo’s Head Coach since its inception in 2017.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Celeste comes to Motogo with a background in urban education where she has focused on meeting students’ diverse needs and helping them thrive through building strong relationships. She has also worked with non-profits in the workforce development sector, supporting individuals in building practical skills and meaningful career pathways. Celeste is passionate about fostering curiosity, promoting literacy, and helping learners diligently work through challenges. She loves seeing the “lightbulb” moments when understanding clicks and students gain confidence in their abilities. Beyond her professional work, Celeste enjoys travel, coaching, and lifelong learning. She believes that exploring new places, mentoring others, and continually expanding her own knowledge help her bring fresh ideas and energy to everything she does. Celeste is very excited to be part of the Motogo team, collaborating with colleagues and community partners to create real change in Northeast Ohio’s education spaces. She looks forward to helping make hands-on, transformative learning experiences available to more students and empowering them to discover their strengths and potential. <image:caption>Kayleise Travis is a recent graduate of Magnificat High School and an alumna of the Motogo program. She plans to continue her educational journey at Cleveland State University for Computer Science. After her time in the Motogo program, she fell in love and wanted to continue her time with the non-profit. Having experience with teaching due to her 5 siblings, her natural patience, her love of life-long learning, and her growing interests in motorcycles, being a coach comes naturally to her. Outside of coaching, Kayleise enjoys learning new hobbies, writing coding projects, or hanging out with her siblings. You can reach Coach Kayleise at kayleise@motogocleveland.com</image:caption>

<image:title>Meet the Motogo Team - Molly Vaughan - Executive Director (she/her)</image:title>
<image:caption>Molly Vaughan graduated from John Carroll University in 2003 with a degree in Physical Education and a double minor in Poetry and Fashion Design. At JCU Vaughan was captain of the softball team, completed Southern Cross University’s Semester Outback and the National Outdoor Leadership School’s (NOLS) Wind River Wilderness Expedition. Vaughan's career started in Chicago as a Recruiter and Alumni Relations Manager for the High Jump Program, an academic enrichment program at the Latin School of Chicago from 2004-2007. She moved back home to Cleveland and joined Saint Martin de Porres High School as a Corporate Work Study Program Coordinator. In 2014 Vaughan's friend Brian Schaffran dreamed of opening what he called a DIY “Community Motorcycle Garage.” Over the next 4 years, Molly used her photography skills to build the “Skidmarketing Team” which brought Skidmark Garage into the public eye. The success of the garage inspired Molly to co-found the non-profit educational program Motogo, and inspired Schaffran to marry Vaughan. Molly Vaughan is the founding Executive Director of Motogo. She is determined to fight for the voices of those who are marginalized. You can reach Molly at molly@motogocleveland.com</image:caption>
